The test is adaptive — question difficulty adjusts to your answers — and combines reading, writing, listening and speaking tasks in a single online sitting, proctored by webcam rather than at a physical test centre.

Spoken and audio-based tasks completed via your own microphone and webcam.
Acceptance is growing among universities but is not universal, and it is not typically accepted as proof of English for visa or immigration applications in the way IELTS or PTE are. We confirm whether your specific university and application type accept it before you sit it.
